Anthony Nader sits down with Style Machine to answer their burning questions

What are the most exciting hair trends among celebrities right now, and which ones do you think will have staying power?

BOBS and a big thank you Jessica Biel for your, and I quote, “Bought back the f⭐️ck ass bob” seen on TikTok. I absolutely adore her shorter length because its doesn’t mince words…its direct and screams confidence. It’s a super short blunt edged bob that doesn’t have a trace of softness nor texture to it and will look sharp longer than a bob that is whimsical and romantic.

Oh and before you go for the big chop, have you got striking angular facial features? If so this haircut is your new Winter hair cut look. Unfortunately for those with fuller face shapes you may want to pass on this trend. Which leads me to other bob favorites that speak differently to the crowd. Gigi Hadid and Elle Fanning have opted for a friendlier hair shape that goes into the category of The Princess Bob Haircut. It’s fresh and lighter and you’ll have more styling options with this haircut, Because this haircut can vary in length and texture, this works in your favour for those with less angular face shapes. Styling options are more playful as you can add volume or height where needed. Balance is always key.

Can you share some of your favourite new haircuts or styles that you’ve been recommending to clients recently?

Jessica Biels fu⭐️k ass bob.

Margot Robbie’s flipped out lob.

Penelope Cruz’s Midi length bob.

Zoey Deutch’s Pixie cut.

What are the essential hair care products that you believe everyone should have in their arsenal?

I have only one that I always stand by and it doesn’t matter about your age or gender. Invest in a Mason Pearson 100% boar bristle brush. This British royalty will last your lifetime. It injects the illusion of volume, helps fight flyaways and combats frizz. This brush is designed to gently release tangles while massaging the scalp and distributing natural oils through hair strands.

How do you keep up with the latest trends and innovations in hair care and styling within the fast-paced world of fashion and entertainment?

Honestly? Living on TikTok and Instagram. They’re my holy grail and of course when I can, I’m overseas backstage assisting on fashion shows. This is priceless.

Can you walk us through your recommended hair care routine for maintaining healthy and vibrant hairWhat tips do you have for clients looking to transition to a completely new hairstyle or colour?

Have honest and in depth chats with your hairdresser, it’s a journey you want to take on together. Even take a few hair references, but in saying this make sure that the celebrity your drawn towards is looking on the more natural (real) side rather than a red carpet event all glammed up.

How do you stay updated on the latest hair care techniques and trends in such a fast-evolving industry?

Countless education. I love it and am never scared of exercising new and fresh ideas. I’ve been hairdressing for 36 years (oh wow I just did a scary calculation) anyway, I love hair and here’s to another exciting 36 years.

How would you describe your own personal style, both in terms of hair and fashion, and how does it influence your work?

I have a complete love affair with French culture. The way they dress, the way they carry themselves and of course the way they wear their hair so effortlessly chic. Trickle this now down to a salon floor scenario and I love to embody this onto my clients with their haircut and the styling and how they can wear the hair shape with ease and with confidence in between salon visits.

Side-note: For even the most effortlessly chic looking hair shape, it has to always begin with a strong technical cutting foundation to last for longevity.
