Get your VIP lanyard ready; Australia’s most celebrated week of fashion is back, and Dyson and GRAZIA are taking you inside Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2018.
Partnering with Dyson Supersonic, the hair dryer that combats extreme heat damage, we will be taking you from the fashionable FROW, to the mayhem of backstage, to the stylish streets (and even the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge for a much-needed mid-show tipple), with an ‘Access-All-Areas’ pass. Giving you an exclusive glimpse into the summit of Australian style, Dyson and GRAZIA will have you huddled next to celebrities front row, practicing your perfect pout outside, and sharing hair tricks and tips with top stylists backstage.
To kick off the partnership, we have collaborated with three industry insiders to see how they get ready in the lead-up to Australia’s most fashionable week and why taking care of your hair is just as important as deciding what to wear. First up, the hair expert, Australia’s mane man, Anthony Nader. Having tended to the tresses of celebrities and models for some 25 years, Nader breathes (or hair-dries) new meaning into the word expert. As one of Australia’s leading editorial hairstylists, we take a trip to Surry Hills to find out how Nader preps for the biggest week in Australian Fashion.
Then a stylish side-step to Paddington, where Sydney cool girl and founder and director of the The Audience Agency, Montarna McDonald, lets us into her impossibly chic headquarters. The PR Queen is no stranger to Fashion Week, in fact, McDonald is a dab hand; forever fronting a FROW and the fodder of eager street style snappers, she’s the ultimate fashion expert. And of course, is always perfectly put together, with style second nature to her.
And where would a Fashion Week be without its blogger? Enter Ally May Carey, founder of the beautifully curated fashion and lifestyle blog, Substance. For Carey, juggling a hectic Fashion Week schedule all comes down to preparation, and we follow the influencer ahead of a big week of snapping, styling and social.
