Hair jewellery is taking over the fashion accessory world
FORGET hats and fascinators — dressing for the spring racing season is all about leading a charmed life.
The pearl-like hair adornments have already graced the catwalks of luxury label Gucci, and Australian brand Kela has now come up with a mechanism that secures the beads in place. “It’s a totally new category which sits alongside jewellery and the hair industry,” Kela brand manager Janna Miccio said.
And they are already proving a hit.
“I think they’d be a great race day accessory instead of a hat,” Stefanie Gidaro said after testing the beads.
