The spring hair trends everyone will be asking their hairdresser for in 2026 with Anthony Nader

Spring hair has arrived, and thankfully, it does not require a complete personality transplant.
If anything, the biggest hair mood for the season is looking like yourself, only with better hair.
That is exactly what Anthony Nader, 2026 and 2025 AHIA Editorial Hairstylist of the Year, is seeing in the salon.
“What I’m hearing more and more in the salon is, ‘I want a change, but I still want to look like myself,’ and I love that,” Anthony says.
For spring, that means lighter cuts, softer movement and colour that does not announce itself from across the street.
“Spring isn’t necessarily about a complete transformation; it’s about making the hair feel lighter and healthier,” Anthony says.

“With cuts, we’re removing some of that heaviness and bringing movement back and with colour, there’s definitely a shift towards warmer, more tonal shades and less obvious highlighting… hallelujah!”
The result is hair that looks expensive without looking overly engineered.
“For me, the most modern hair right now doesn’t scream that you’ve spent four hours in the salon,” Anthony says.
“It just looks incredibly gorgeous: beautiful condition, beautiful movement and colour that actually belongs on the individual wearing it.”

The new-generation long lob: Margot Robbie
The lob is not going anywhere, but it is getting a little longer.
Margot Robbie’s current length sits somewhere between a traditional lob and longer hair, making it the perfect option for anyone who wants to feel like they have had a haircut without immediately mourning their missing length.
“Margot Robbie’s long lob length is exactly where I see hair heading for spring,” Anthony says.
In the salon, he is seeing clients ask for longer shapes that still have movement and versatility.
“I’m keeping the perimeter strong and then introducing subtle softness so it doesn’t look too precise or overworked,” he says. “It should still move when you walk.”
And that, frankly, is the dream.

The soft midi: Hailey Bieber
Hailey Bieber’s latest length is another spring haircut worth taking to the salon.
“It has that ’90s simplicity, but it feels very current because there aren’t layers everywhere,” Anthony says.
The collarbone length gives the ends plenty of weight while a little face framing keeps it personalised.
It is also the answer for anyone who wants healthier-looking hair and a noticeable change without committing to a short bob.
“Classic haircuts done really well always look expensive in my book,” Anthony says.

Chocolate drizzle brunette: Camila Morrone
Camila Morrone remains Anthony’s go-to reference for a glossy brunette.
“What clients don’t want is dark hair that looks like one solid block of colour… this can most times appear too harsh,” he says.
Instead, the chocolate base gets incredibly subtle warmer ribbons that reveal themselves as the hair moves.
“For spring, make those pieces slightly more sun-kissed around the face,” Anthony says. “Because the biggest luxury with brunette hair right now is incredible shine.”
